Jesus’ death on the cross was the ONE time sacrifice for sin making it possible for our hearts to be cleansed and made new through His blood. In giving our hearts to Jesus Christ we become children of God and gain Heaven as our inheritance!

If Jesus is in our hearts and we belong to Him, our treasure is Heaven! Yet, we spend a great deal of time and energy here on Earth trying to accumulate a lot of non-eternal things, such as money, possessions, jobs, power, popularity, and you name it! All that God has given us is not only for our enjoyment, but it is also a resource for bringing salvation to those who haven’t accepted Jesus Christ. This includes our time, talents and money.

Open your heart and hands to God. Hold loosely the treasures of this world and commit them to God for building treasures in Heaven. Remember, the only things you can take with you are the people that you have helped find Christ.

Thank you Lord, for the worldly treasures you have loaned to me for this ONE lifetime. Help me to use what I have for your glory so that many will come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and share in the treasures of Heaven with me.
