About Missions at Faith Fellowship

“…and you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere, in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

Ten percent of Faith Fellowship’s operating budget is used for missions support in the local community (Jerusalem), in areas beyond the Riverbend (Judea and Samaria), and overseas (the ends of the earth). Of the total Missions budget, about 30% goes to Christ-centered ministries in Alton and the surrounding area. Another third goes to support the work of Christian missions in other areas of the world. The remainder of missions funds is designated for quick response to immediate needs during times of crisis both at home and around the world.

The purpose of the Missions Team is to shine the light of God’s love and compassion to the world, sending the people of Faith Fellowship to serve others in the name of Christ, and supporting those already in the field.

The Missions Team researches and selects missions for annual support and provides hands-on opportunities to serve needs in the local area. This team also relays information regarding the missions that Faith Fellowship supports. This is accomplished by various means, including informational slides, video presentations, and announcements; special events; volunteer opportunities; and, of course, this web page! Here you can learn more about Faith Fellowship’s mission work and how you can get involved.
