Glow in the Dark – Radiant

Seeing first hand the amazing paintings and sculptures of the most renowned artists of the past and present is an amazing experience. Perhaps you’ve had the opportunity to visit some of the great architecture of Europe, the castles of Ireland, or the pyramids of Egypt. We are awed and amazed by these masterpieces created by human hands. Yet, God tells us we are His masterpiece and the gravity of His words scarcely sink in. Molded and created in His image; redeemed from death into life by the blood of His Son…we are unique, chosen and made with and for a purpose. Too many Christians cling to grace and hold on for eternity. We were made for so much more! God has gifted each person and commissioned His followers to grow in faith. When we grow in God, we advance His kingdom by being a light in this dark world. If you owned a masterpiece, you would want to put is on display and allow others to share its beauty. When you truly grasp that you are God’s masterpiece, you will realize that you have a world to light up!

Scriptures
Ps 139:14; Eph 2: 1-5, 8-10

Verse
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Eph 2:10)

Thought
Identifying our God given gifts allows us to be more affective for Him. If you are not sure what your gifts are, consider this acronym—SIGN. “S” At what are you Successful? The difference between a hobby and a calling is success. We love doing things that we are good at. Do you lead, work with your hands, write, sing, play, act, speak or listen successfully? This is a sign that it’s a gift. “I” Is it Instinctive? Most gifts are natural. You may have an inclination or ability that comes easily. This is a sign of a gift. “G” Are you Growing? When you are successful and naturally love doing something, you tend to work to become even better. You don’t settle for “good enough.” You want to grow. When you have this kind of passion for something, it’s a good indication of a gift. “N” Does it fill a Need? God gives us gifts to serve his purpose. Where can you best use the gifts you have to fill a need in God’s Kingdom? God will find a place for you to use your gifts when you dedicate yourself to serve. Look for the signs. In addition, be aware of your past. How does it enhance your ability to serve others. Yes, even that old stuff that you left behind and don’t want to revisit can be used by God to help someone who is going through similar trials and circumstances.

Questions
